Why is parent sponsorship harder than spouse sponsorship?

Because the state is taking on a longer-term commitment for people who are more likely to need healthcare and less likely to work. The income threshold is higher, a deposit is commonly required, and the insurance requirement is real rather than nominal.

What makes the insurance difficult?

What documents are involved?

The mistake we see most: Starting the application before pricing the insurance. For older parents the premium can exceed everything else combined, and families discover it after committing time and money to a file that then stalls. Get the quotes in week one.
