Saudi Business Visa
Applying for a Saudi business visa from Dubai.
Family Visits
A family visit to the Kingdom turns on proving the relationship, and proving it means attested certificates rather than a shared surname.
A relative resident in Saudi Arabia normally sponsors the visit and applies from inside the Kingdom, while you supply the documents that prove the relationship. Marriage and birth certificates usually need attesting and translating before they will be accepted. The relationship evidence is the part that decides whether the application goes through cleanly.
| Sponsor | Your relative resident in Saudi Arabia |
|---|---|
| Authority | Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia |
| You provide | Attested relationship documents |
| Usually needed | Marriage or birth certificate, translated |
| UAE side | Valid residence permit and passport |
| Slow part | Attestation, where documents are not ready |

Sponsoring a brother, a parent, a spouse or a child all require the same thing: a civil document that establishes the link, attested through the proper chain and translated into Arabic.
People assume family is self-evident. To an immigration file it is a certificate or it is nothing.
The application itself is made by the relative inside the Kingdom, using their own residency and status. What holds it up is almost never their end; it is waiting for a document from yours.
Get your side ready first and their part is usually quick.
A marriage certificate from India, Pakistan or the Philippines runs through that country's chain first, then UAE legalisation, then the Saudi side. It is the same shape of problem as a degree certificate and it takes the same kind of time.
Start it before your sponsor asks. That is the whole trick.
You are travelling as a UAE resident, so your residence permit and passport still have to hold up. A permit expiring during the visit is a problem on return rather than departure, and it is the version people forget.
Check the date you come back, not just the date you go.
| Visiting | Document normally required |
|---|---|
| Spouse | Marriage certificate, attested and translated |
| Parent | Your birth certificate, attested and translated |
| Child | The child's birth certificate |
| Sibling | Both birth certificates showing the shared parent |
| Document issued abroad | Chain starts in the issuing country |
Tell us the relationship and the country the certificate came from. Those two facts decide the chain, and the chain decides the date you can travel.
