Saudi Family Visit Visa
Visiting relatives in Saudi Arabia from Dubai.
Business Travel
A business visa runs on an invitation you do not control. The Saudi company issues it, and everything on your side waits until they do.
A business visa is normally issued against an invitation from a company in Saudi Arabia. Once the invitation is in place, the application is made from the UAE with your passport, UAE residence visa and supporting company documents. Some of those documents may need attestation before the Saudi side accepts them.

|---|---|
| Baseline | Passport and valid UAE residence visa |

Because nothing meaningful happens without it. Your documents can be ready, your passport can be perfect, and the application still waits on a letter from a company in another country with its own priorities.
The practical response is to chase the invitation early and hard, and to have everything else ready so that the moment it lands nothing else is outstanding.
A trade licence, a letter from your employer setting out the purpose of travel, and sometimes evidence of the commercial relationship. Where documents issued in the UAE have to be accepted in Saudi Arabia, attestation may be required.
That attestation runs through the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then the Saudi mission, which is a real lead time and not a same-day task.
Purpose and evidence. A tourist visa asks about you; a business visa asks about the commercial reason for travel and who is expecting you. That evidence is the substance of the application.
For a short meeting-based trip some travellers may find a tourist route simpler. Whether that is appropriate depends on what you will actually be doing there.
Frequent travellers should ask about multiple-entry options rather than repeating a single-entry application every trip. It is more efficient and it removes the recurring dependency on a fresh invitation each time.
Whether it is available depends on your circumstances and history.

The item that sets the timeline is the invitation, and it is the one thing outside your control. Start chasing it before anything else and prepare the rest in parallel.
