How does WPS actually work?
Your company registers with an approved agent, and each pay run is submitted as a salary file that lists every employee, their MoHRE labour card number, and the amount paid. The agent transmits it, the Central Bank routes the payments, and MoHRE reconciles the file against its own record of who works for you and what they were contracted to receive.
The reconciliation is the point. Paying the money is not enough if the file does not match the record.
- Salary file lists every employee against their MoHRE record
- Payments route through an approved agent, not directly
- MoHRE matches the file to the registered contract
- Discrepancies flag against the establishment
