How does a Qatar work visa work if you are in Dubai?

The employer in Qatar sponsors and applies for it through Qatar's Ministry of Interior; you supply the personal documents behind the application. From Dubai that usually means an attested degree certificate, police clearance, medical screening and a properly cancelled UAE residence visa. The document preparation is the part that sits with you, and it is the part that takes the time.

The list is predictable, which is the good news. Passport, photographs, attested qualifications, police clearance, and often a medical. What varies is the order the employer wants them in and how quickly their PRO moves.
