Why do banks find non-resident applications difficult?
Because their compliance obligations are the same regardless of where you live, and distance makes verification harder. A bank has to understand who you are, where the money comes from and why this company banks in the UAE at all.
That last question is the one applicants answer least convincingly. "It is a good place to bank" is not a business rationale.
- Verification is harder at a distance
- Source of funds needs clear evidence
- The reason for banking here must make sense
- Weak rationale is the common failure
